So much happened in the series final, I just wish they had made a longer episode for the last ever.
So it revolved around the wedding of Sarah and Hank, for better or worse it was very well done, every thing was just about prefect. Starting with the ladies on their phones at Ambers place, I like that She decided to move in with Zeek and Camille, would have been good for Zeek to spend some time with the new baby and then for Camille to have someone there after he passed. Plus with things being tight at the studio now Crosby is running it on his own its nice not to have to worry about rent. But that said it looks like from the montage at the end things will work out for them, including Amber meeting a new guy and baby Zeek having contact with his father.
The whole Zeek story was very well done, I like how we didnít get too much drama over his death, yes it was sad but Iím glad they chose to remember the good times and having the family play a game of baseball after spreading his asses was a fitting end to the series.
The wedding was just about perfect, even with Max being the official photographer, its nice he has found his calling. Sarah looked pretty in her wedding dress, again the montage with the photos being taken was well done as was the choice of music for the walk done the isle and the reception. I also liked how Hank asked for Zeekís blessing to marry Sarah and that Joel didnít even do that. Nice to see Haddie again, I just wish she wasnít just their for the wedding.
The drama over the Luncheonette was over blown, I thought the main reason Crosby couldnít do it without Adam was financial but there was fixed fairly easily by renting out part of the building they didnít need.
The fast forward montage was a nice way to wrap up the show and see a bit into the familyís future, Julia appears to have had a baby after adopting Victors half sister or they adopted another baby a few years later. Ryan is part of baby Zeeks life along with a new man in Amberís life (Jason Street) the family looks to be getting along. Camille went traveling after Zeek died, a dream she has had for some time. Max graduating from Chamber Academy and actually looked happy, the studio run by Crosby looks to be a success with Rhiannon Giddens & Iron & Wine recording Forever Young as a back drop the the closing scenes of the series.
Iím going to miss the show but look forward to Lauren and others moving on to new projects in the coming years.
