As the family adapts to their new son, Julia (Erika Christensen) communicates her love in an unusual way to Victor (Xolo Mariduena). Meanwhile Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Jasmine (Joy Bryant) work as a couple to add structure and boundaries to their marriage. Also, Sarahs (Lauren Graham) new boss Hank (Guest Star Ray Romano) unexpectedly helps her understand Drews (Miles Heizer) feelings. And Kristina (Monica Potter) convinces Adam (Peter Krause) to fill a missing void in the household and receives news that may change her life forever. Sam Jaeger, Craig T. Nelson, Bonnie Bedelia, Miles Heizer, Savannah Paige Rae, Tyree Brown and Sarah Ramos also star.
I will never think of Funky Town the same way again. From the newly weds having sex on the kitchen floor, mocking Adam schedueling sex (Funky town) with Kristina. Then Crosby forgetting Jabbar at school, leading to him sync'ing his calendar with Jasmine. Kritina & Adam talking about buying a puppy for the family, with Jabbar getting the wrong idea and throwing a fit over the puppy he wanted. Max might be having a hard time without Haddie? I guess life won't get easier for Kristina and Adam, now we have the threat of cancer hanging over the families head. The final scenes were well played out with no sound, but you knew what was happening. Sarah is getting to know Hank a little better, it was nice to see Drew warm up to him after being dumped by Amy. Also good to see Julia winning Victor's trust and the hug in the end was a nice touch.
