Sometime later, Lorelai, Rory, Logan, and Michel, along with some of the tourists, are going to go to the Spring Fling on a bus rented by the Dragonfly Inn. At the Spring Fling, some of the guests at the Inn are a bit uncertain about a maze that is made out of hay. Recaps/Reviews/Ratings

  • Ratings - Gilmore Girls came in second for the CW with 3.79 behind Smallville on 3.98 - vrd@TWoP

  • Ratings - finals courtesy of Travis@PiFeedback - 3.793 million viewers - 2.7/4 HH - 1.7/5 A18-49 - 2.1/6 A18-34 And as some people have mentioned above it was definitely pre-empted in some markets for the Yankees game. - gossipcom@TWoP

  • Ratings - Variety - At CW, "Gilmore Girls" returned with its first original episode in six weeks to solid numbers (1.7/5 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall), beating ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 (2.0/6). - vrd@TWoP

  • Ratings - "and veteran Gilmore Girls on The CW (Viewers: #5, 3.83 million; A18-49: #4, 1.7/ 5), which has lost its oomph. Although there is a rumor circulating that Gilmore Girls will return for a final 13 episodes next season, considering that show is down from the year-ago telecast by 1.02 million viewers (Viewers: 4.85 to 3.83 million) and 11 percent among adults 18-49 (1.9/ 5 to 1.7/ 5), why even bother? (Year-ago results are based on the final nationals)" - pifeedback.com

  • TVGuide Podcast - April 20, 2007 - As for the episode, Mike really liked the RL stuff. In reaction to an angry letter about how they're showing RL being together so well, yet they're going to break them up, Mike commented on how just because we know a couple's going to break up that they're final weeks together do not have to be miserable. And they all discussed how they thought Rory was crazy to turn down the job. - Recap thanks to Katiegg108@FanForum - coming soon transcript thanks to lorelaisgirl@FanForum

  • Review - "For any long-term relationship stuck in a rut, getting that magic back isn’t easy. Invested "Gilmore Girls" fans this season have been burned one too many times, yet we keep coming back for more, even when most of it has been watching two once-strong women unravel into love-hampered know-nothings..." - latimesblogs.latimes.com

  • Review - "With high hopes that you all enjoyed some sort of spring flings during this long hiatus, I'm happy to say that this week's return to Stars Hollow was mostly a hoot. Lorelai's hair looks great again (though I'm continually amazed-slash-troubled by that birch tree of a part down her scalp) and she was sporting a nifty trench coat. The townsfolk circled and cut across the episode with refreshing ease." - EW.com

  • Review - "This was one of those episodes. You know, if you turned away for a just a minute to grab another Diet Coke, you missed Lorelai and Logan making nice. In the middle of the night. In her kitchen. Who’d have thought, right? Well, come to think of it, a lot of loose strings were nicely tied up in this ep." - Robin Honig's TVGuide

  • Review - "It was a nice, lighthearted episode, though I wished they pushed the Luke/Lorelai plot a little but further, given the limited number of episodes left. It's one of the better episodes of the season, but on our 1 to 7 scale, it merits a 5. If we had the ratings system in the first half of the year, most of those episodes wouldn't have come close to that, believe me." - tvsquad.com

    Spoilers

  • abqtrib.com - "Apparently, even though her daughter has been seeing that idiot for at least 2.5 seasons, only now is Lorelai realizing that it's serious and that she ain't so happy about it." - Mots15@FanForum

  • www.thestar.com - Time to welcome back Gilmore Girls after a long hiatus. Big question is the future of the long-running comedy drama – there are now reports the series could return next year for an abbreviated eighth season. I've been a fan of Gilmore Girls, but the story has run out of steam with the departure of David Sutcliffe. His turn as the egotistical Christopher should earn him a supporting Emmy nomination. But there's no more story here, it seems to me. Tonight, Stars Hollow is preparing for its Spring Fling festival, and there's a surprise encounter where Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Luke (Scott Patterson) apologize to one another. Rory (Alexis Bledel) also has an interview with the Providence paper, and this seems to me a pretty good way for the show to end its successful seven-year run (CW at 8; Global at 10).

  • ew.com - Gilmore Girls B- Rory (Alexis Bledel) brings boyfriend Logan (Matt Czuchry) home for the Stars Hollow Spring Fling, giving Lorelai (Lauren Graham) the chance to tell him how she feels about him. (Hint: not good.) While Girls is mostly still solid, the dialogue feels like leftovers from better days. Repeating idio-syncratic lines doesn't make 'em cleverer. - Tim Stack

  • TV Guide description (Hot List) Gilmore Girls - 8 pm/ET CW New - Finally, a new episode! Tonight Rory brings Logan to Stars Hollow to see where she grew up. In a way, it's a perfect metaphor because the show returns to its roots here, focusing on the key relationships that fans have loved. And in bringing Logan to Stars Hollow, it introduces him to the Gilmore relationship dynamic we all know and love, one that isn't passive and doesn't pull punches. Lorelai, who still doesn't trust Logan, lays it all out on the table after a few tension-filled scenes between them. It's good to see the series come home again! - Bill Ecklund - Wheredidtheanvilsgo?@FanForum

  • "After weeks of repeats, the CW’s “Gilmore Girls” returns at 8 p.m. on WLVI [website] (Ch. 56). Rory brings Logan home for the Stars Hollow Spring Fling, and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Luke (Scott Patterson) begin to make amends. Thank goodness. With no word on whether there will be an eighth season, those two need to get back together before the season finale." - gossipcom@FanForum

  • Studio Tour - "The guide said they did a lot of shots from above, tracking people going through the maze. And he was happy to see the hay gone, since they couldn't drive tours through town all that time it was up - it was a big pain, lol." copperboom@FanForum

  • Studio Tour - "I did see a teeny part of the teaser for 7.18 filmed, well, the rehearsal anyway. There was Lorelai, Gypsy, & Miss Patty watching the nice strong guys unloading hay bales. And the troubadour was there - got to hear him play, but not close enough to make out the song. But nice to see him back!" - copperboom@FanForum - "Not much of the maze was up yet then...the part in front of the high school was. And it was tall and hard to see over, lol. The guys unloading the hay were over by the church end of the square, I was by Luke's. They were practicing unloading, without lifting the hay...it was funny to watch. And yes, the Troubadour was there, and he was wearing his brown coat like always. So nice that things are returning to normal in Stars Hollow." - copperboom@FanForum

  • Studio Tour - Not much in Rory's room except one lone Yale pendant, looks like it has not been used much, could not check the living room for the new TV, in Luke's the "No Cell Phones" sign was missing - SaySomething@FanForum

  • "7.18 is scheduled to air on April 10 (according to TV Guide magazine -- and be warned, there are spoilers in the blurb). Assuming there are no reruns in the last group of episodes, that would put 7.22 on May 8." - juststandstill@TWoP

  • Ask Ausiello - Feb 21, 2007 - there's a pivotal scene at the end in which "Luke and Lorelai both apologize for all that ugly stuff that led to their breakup. Best of all, Lorelai utters the words we've been longing to hear since last May: "I was possessed by some evil spirit when I slept with Christopher." Although the heartfelt powwow doesn't include any physical contact (i.e., smooching, necking, petting, etc), it certainly paves the way for a possible May-sweeps reunion." - nst@FanForum

  • spoilerfix.com - Lorelai, Logan, Rory and Michel, along with some tourists, go to Spring Fling in a bus rented by the Inn. - Logan goes through the maze with the kid.
