I'm keeping these shorter this time to about a page full but we'll see how it goes.
|This episode was not as good as I was hoping but had some great moments, Emily at the end was a standout, what is it with the last few seconds, last week we had Luke now Emily.
Also the Luke and Chris brawl was more funny than serious but not as good as it could have been.
Rory and Lorelai both had men problems and it all comes back to lies, not only with the but to themselves.
|Another good bit was Lorelai making it clear she is now NOT ready to have a baby (with Chris) she was all set in Partings but now she is married she is not sure and pushes Chris away, even after how she acted on seeing Doula and Luke.
This of course leads to a pissed off Chris and the fight which was a BIG letdown, I mean it was great for a laugh but no talking beforehand just 2 guys out for blood! I understand Chris' reasons but Luke after just coming from the lawyer and being told to behave and he might need anger management classes.
Rory and Marty were just dumb, doesn't she know anything after watching her mother do the same kinds for things for years, it never works to hide things like that, I know in the end it was not a big deal, so what they knew each other years ago. But what it does show is Marty is not over Rory, pretty much a wasted opportunity in bringing him back. Logan was the grown up at the dinner but he could have been a little more diplomatic in the way he said it.
Kirk was fun, some didn't like his bit but I thought it was too short, what would have been great would have been a scene (in the back ground) of Kirk being chased by the kids. Also Liz scene was too short but better than the birth last week.
And Lorelai, grow-up and decide what YOU want, not what Chris or you mother wants for you, good you chose to hold off on the baby if you are not sure. But also grow-up and stop complaining all the time, Emily is just trying to do something nice. Speak to her like an adult if you don't want a big wedding/vow thing tell Chris, maybe the best thing would be to throw a town part like with Max engagement. But if you're having second thoughts about the whole thing just call it off, for goodness sakes you almost 40, act like it.
On a happy not the WAY to short Luke and Lorelai scene outside Dooses market was nice and its great to see Scott and Lauren back on scene again, the whole thing was a what could have been moment and the icing on the cake was a pissed off Chris coming out of the store.
LORELAI: Three bookstores? I mean this is a well-read community. We might be the dumbest people in town.
CHRISTOPHER: Yep we could be the town dunces. We'll buy caps.
LORELAI: We'll put "the dunces" on our mailbox.
Sad - The fight scene
Funny - The fight scene
Overall - Luke and Lorelai with Doula
