LIES, SPIES AND HIT SONGS — Rory (Alexis Bledel) forgives Logan (Matt Czuchry) for his indiscretions, then needs some time for herself, so she pays a visit to Lorelai (Lauren Graham) in Stars Hollow. Although Lorelai (Lauren Graham) refuses to admit that she is upset, Rory can tell that she is bothered by the news that Luke (Scott Patterson) will be gone for a few days on a field trip with his daughter, April (Vanessa Marano, who does not appear in the episode). Against Lorelai’s wishes, Rory pays a visit to the store owned by April’s mother, Anna (guest star Sherilyn Fenn), to spy on her. Meanwhile, when Zach (Todd Lowe) finally works up the courage to ask Mrs. Kim (Emily Kuroda) for permission to marry Lane (Keiko Agena), he is surprised at the deal she makes with him. Melissa McCarthy, Edward Herrmann, Kelly Bishop, Yanci Truesdale, Liza Weil and Sean Gunn also stars. The episode was written by Keith Eisner and directed by Lee Shallat Chemel (#2T6317).

From TV Guide's The Hot List:
Gilmore Girls[New] - 8 pm/ET, WB
Like Gilmore's Luke, I've never warmed to Logan, so, I'm biased here. That Rory would even give Logan time to explain his Thanksgiving lust feast (I won't tell you how the scene plays out) is just crazy. Sure, she's no saint, but she deserves better. Fortunately, the episode is saved by Mrs. Kim. When Zach asks for permission to marry Lane, she makes one simple demand — write a hit song. And then she tells him how to do it. To all you budding musicians out there: Take notes. — Bill Ecklund

TV Guide
Logan pleads his case to Rory and asks her to come home with him; Luke tells Lorelai that April has asked him chaperone her math team's trip to Philadelphia for a national contest; Zach asks Mrs. Kim's permission to marry Lane, but she has a demand he must meet first; Rory shops at Anna's store to see what she's like; and Lorelai hears some disturbing news about a big step her parents are planning. Anna: Sherilyn Fenn.

Added February 8th, 2006 - The sides start on page 59, so about 75% that way through the episode. It looks like Rory is walking with Lorelai in the town square. Zach is trying to right a hit song, probably for Lane. Rory goes to Anna's shop and spy's on her, they talk and Rory likes a hand bag, I think she went there without Luke or Lorelai knowing, to find out more about her. Kirk is now working for Century 21 and is at the Dragonfly Inn, maybe he's trying to get the place listed or see if Lorelai wants to buy another place to start a chain or Dragonfly Inn's.

The sides for this episode are out, this link has a recap of it, second recap.
