MOVING DAY - Emily (Kelly Bishop) tells Lorelai (Lauren Graham) that she'd like to get to know her future son-in-law better and asks her to invite Luke (Scott Patterson) over for dinner. Wanting to avoid an argument, Lorelai purposely fails to mention that the wedding has been postponed. The Yale Daily News staff finally fires Paris (Liza Weil) and chooses Rory (Alexis Bledel) to be the new editor. A furious Paris kicks Rory out of the apartment, and Rory has no idea where she is going to go until Logan (Matt Czuchry) convinces her to move into his apartment. TV Guide description:
You've Been Gilmored
Lorelai's parents insist that Luke come for Friday dinner, and she promises he'll be there without consulting him first; Paris is ousted from the paper and the staff elects a new editor, setting in a motion a chain of events that alters Rory's relationships with Paris and Logan; and Rory gives her dad a tour of Yale.

  • Emily invites Luke Friday dinner, but Lorelai does not tell Emily about the postponement.
  • The Yale Daily News staff replace Paris with Rory as new editor.
  • Paris kicks Rory of of the apartment, leaving her little option but to move in with Logan.
  • Rory does not tell her mother, Chris finally tell Lorelai.
  • Chris is with Rory at Yale, they are getting along.
  • A coupe of girls "notice" Chris and Rory makes comments about how hot Lorelai is also.

Added January 4th, 2006 - One page, that's all we got! Better than nothing. My spec is Luke and Lorelai go to diner at the Gilmore house, Emily does not know the wedding is postponed. But at some point it is bought up and Luke is mad, he leaves. Emily tells Lorelai she should call the wedding of if she is not sure. Lorelai tells Emily that she loves Luke and they will get married. She returns home and they talk things through, they get the wedding back on track but have to start again as all the plans were cancelled. Also when Rory moves in with Logan and Chris tells Lorelai, it sounds trouble between the girls.

This is a break down of the sides for this episode.
