5.01 - Say Goodbye to Daisy Miller - (88)
This transcript is from the collection found at http://www.twiztv.com/scripts/gilmoregirls.

I liked how this episode picked up before the end from the previous season end. Rory and Dean still in bed. Now while I think Rory doing this was way out of character I do see that it was probable time and if it had not been Dean I could have been Jess if he had stuck around for the last year. I also noticed how Lorelai didn't want to look at him, when she released what had happened.

Lorelai not knowing how Luke was feeling about the kiss is the start of things to come with not being able to talk to him. They do end by saying that they will discuss what happened and do have a good talk on the phone, but he really should not be driving while using the phone. The whole not talking theme is carried over to Rory and may be one of the reasons she end up in bed with Dean.

Emily had some great moments also with her rant about going of to France and the invite from last season is carried over when Rory can't deal with the whole Dean thing and she runs of with her. This leaves a said Lorelai home alone for the summer with no Rory and no Luke. What will she do?

Great first episode for the season, but it left me wanting more Luke and Lorelai. Next week will be good.
