1.02 - The Lorelai's First Day at Chilton (2)

Review

This episode shows how much of an influence Emily wants to be on the girls lives. It was a good episode intruducing more of the town Rory's new school and how the girls life has changed with the help from the grand parents.

At times Lorelai still feels like the 16 year old around her mother, until she stands up to Emily.

We see Hanlin Charleston (Chilton's headmaster), Tristin and Rory's new 'Friends' Paris, Madeline and Louise for the first time.

I think Lorelai coming to Rory's first day at Chilton dressed like Daisy Duke, was to pay homage to the fact that backlot used for the town of Stars Hollow is the same location the town of Hazard from the Dukes of Hazard was shot on.
