Open Letter
Amy Sherman-Palladino the fans are not happy
Attention: Amy Sherman-Palladino

April 9th, 2006

This is an open letter from a fan of your once great show, Gilmore Girls.

I don't know where to start. What is going on? This season started with such promises for Luke and Lorelai what happened. It took too long for Rory to come back and while Lorelai opened up to Luke a little towards the end it felt forced.

I liked the April story line to start with, something to unite Luke and Lorelai and for them to work on together but taking 8 episodes from when Lorelai found out was again too long.

Lorelai not talking to Luke about the wedding and meeting April is out of character for a lot of fans.

Then ending the season with Lorelai in Chris's bed almost made me physically sick even if nothing happens between them. Even after a few days to think about it I still feel sick.

I can't enjoy the rest of this season know how it ends and I know that is part of the reason information is not released, but I feel for the unspoiled that will not know what has hit them on the evening of May 9th, 2006.

Disappointed Fan

Update - After watching the season final I'm still not happy and the above still applies, this is not a season ending that lots of fans and critics are not happy with.
